DuC vs Renegade (14 Apr 09)

This was the highly anticipated clanny between DuC and [DuC]Angel's new clan.

With Renegade getting X51-coBRA as a sub I knew they meant business - he's got tons of tourney exp.

Was surprised to see coBRA drafting for them though, since he was only a sub. Spoke to Angel this morning and he wasn't happy with their picks - which came as no surprise. coBRA went with an old-school TB super-carry, with minimal straight-up tanks.

Knowing they had a counter for our heroes (Silencer) before we even chose, we still went with SK/DP. >_< Edge really wanted DP, and I really wanted SK. So we knew we had to step it up a bit, which was just what I was looking for. ^_^

Edge opted not to solo mid knowing Silencer would screw up his early-game, so he went bot - but that was rough too... >_< ...so he tp'd top soon after. Mid lane was interesting with Silencer rush-leveling-up 'Curse of the Silent', which forced me to play aggressively and impale whenever I could... even if creep-skipping. Demon was there to back me up so we dictated the pace.

Gotta say though, mana was a _huge_ problem for me this game. :/ Knew it was gonna be rough with Silencer and his "mana-drain" but it was kak - Sk's minimal mana-pool was felt hard. X_x On a number of occasions I would blink-ulti-spike to have no mana to SS. :/ Since I was initiating like crazy... suicidal runs mostly ...and we didn't use TS, I found myself dying alot - which I didn't mind as the rest of the teamies would clean-up. (Hence my low level. ) There were a few instances of n00bness by me, thinking Necro was one of ours and walking to him for the heal - but got greeted by a heal of death. X_x lol.

Save for coBRA's TB having S&Y, none of the other Renegade playerz had any high-tier items to speak of. :/ That's probably cause we always had them on the defensive, not allowing them to push. In the end I think Renegade only dropped two level 1 towers, taken by a creep-wave.

Looking forward to the re, which should happen sometime next week.

Angel is shit......I suck at dota, but he is worse than me....If there was a list fo worst dota playes i know i would at least be second last

Well he gave you sk,axe and dp.He picked Tb which is old school and dazzle is just a waste of a pick.I'd say he probably hasn't played in a while and doesnt usually do the drafting.
