[4 Nations Day 1] DuC vs HaXx = HaXx (09 March 09)

Dont know if I should have just posted in the original 4 nations forum but here it goes.

Duc starts the draft:

Picks Keeper of the Light - Admiral Crystal Maiden - Dragon Knight Lion - Necrolyte Priestess of the Moon - Juggernaut Lich - Pitlord

DuC Lanes:
Top: Keeper of the Light (Shau) Dragon Knight (Legend)
Mid: Lich (NeoN)
Bot: Lion (animedemon) Juggernaut (Edge)

HaXx Lane
Top: Priestess of the Moon (GeNoCiDe) Crystal Maiden (aQuafr3sh)
Mid: Admiral (VeelVraat)
Bot: Pitlord (Kenny) Necrolyte (SD-6)

Was a nice game with a couple of good team battles, but it was not a lot of fun to be the crystal maiden in this game lol, constantly having to juke juggernaut ect. Dragon Knight farmed well for duc and was the biggest threat according to me. We picked our heroes trying to secure 2 good lanes, wich sort of failed. Admiral farmed nicely though and helped alot in team fights and pit lord delayed game us time to let admiral and potm farm. Necrolyte was the obvious anti DK hero in this siuation. Thats about it, i suck at writing stuff :>

Yeah, Legend was telling me I let the Pirate farm up too much. :/ HaXx won almost all the team battles mid-late game which had the DuC camp in a pretty riled-up state. Seems Edge's carry-Jugga was a fail too. :/ Didn't help that kotl/lion did not perma-buy wards so I did, which screwed up my build. Not sure if Demon is just not used to playing support, but he left himself open to 3/4-man gangs, wandering in our bushes alone knowing HaXx would've had wards planted there - Aqua is just that imba of a support-player.

Hmmm... The reason I went for Lich rather than another carry was cause I wanted DK/Jugga to have maximum farming, rather than dividing it by three. But against a Pitlord I imagine Edge had a rough time farming up - Legend later told me Edge only had 5 cs in 10 mins while Demon had 12-13. X_x Not sure which hero would've been able to stop Pirate from farming. Thinking about it now, I could've maybe gone for Tinker and focused on perma-ganging - but that would leave Kunkka to free-farm.

LOL....it was so hard with Juggy and the delay...
I think i only got ulti off the 5th time i tried it....And yeah, with demons going for all the last hits and then still coming to my neuts that i pulled and killing those creeps of mine too......Really didnt play the support of me well

But yeah, i did have a really fail game, not gonna lie about that

I read the chatlog again and yeah, you did mention the lag killing your gameplay. :/ Regarding Demon, that's just how he plays, no matter the role (carry/support) - will have to have a chat with him informing him about it.

Honestly thought thegrrr had a 4Mb line, else I would've suggested a diff host, as both Shau and Demon were complaining of 3G lag. X_x

Ya i thawt so too, i asked him a few times and he said he is 4mb :/

4mb is not the greatest 2 host on i have found hey , unless your house is 2m away from the exchange, do you know who is his ISP ?

I watched the replay...What was the point of the kotl pick?Anyways the kotl was taking most of dk's creeps...

The pit lord played the best their imo.Gl for rest of tourney,im jealous

Well, Shau wanted to try kotl out so ya. They were killing the heroes in their lane in the beginning, but mid-late game kotl did feel sorta useless. :/

We have a rule where we try and keep away from 384 hosting for the 3G people because its unplayable when we join.  This was one of those games where the lag was just O_O and I'm sure it showed.  Apologies for the fail babysit whenever I see a creep 2 hits away from death I attack and bam it gets creep kill :\  Moaning aside Haxx played very well and had some really good gangs where CoCo + Pit brought it home for them WD guys.
