Streaming on Waaaght!TV

For those of you that don't know, waaagh!TV is a client for streaming live warcraft games to many users.

I was thinking of maybe using it to broadcast CandyCup games live to anyone that wants to watch. I still need to test it though so was hoping to do this soon.

Basically how it works is that you need an observer in the game that streams the game to the Waaagh!TV server, then people with the Waaagh!TV client can view it.

If we can get this working we can also maybe set up a TS channel where people watching can chat?

I've greated an account on their server which will contain all our games streamed. You can put a bit of code on the site then that will give you a list of games streamed. Looks like this:




if you only see the html code, ensure "allow html in posts" is enabled in you user settings.

not sure how much cap it uses, but you dont stream the game to every user, only to their server. So it shouldn't use any more cap than the size of the replay file +/- 1mb.

Its not video, you actually watch the replay from within WC3 as if you joined a lan game. It will be pretty much the same as watching a normal dota replay, except its live.
